Where I came from.

Last week I decided to go back to where I grew up.... What a place. It is a prime example of the death of the Small Town in the United States. A once decent small town supporting a military installation has become the beginning of a ghost town. The base allowed to close due to the apathy of the Clinton administration and the congressman that the area selected has placed the people and the town on the fast track to extinction. The population seemingly unemployed, small business barely surviving. Hospitals populated with providers that are lacking the tools to provide quality care to their patients. While I have not been to all the towns in America it seems this is the problem that is growing all over.
The base I grew up next to, because my father was a member of the Air Force, is now a ghost town with a flightline. I took the time to drive through the base to see what a nice place the city council had turned it in to. Well, to my disappointment it was turned into nothing. The buildings are falling apart, Some in use by small companies that are probably wondering when they will have to close. What a waste of space. An area that could have provided many industries with a great place to start or expand and a wealth of potential employees in the area. Still nothing. Not to mention that the state of California is anti-business. The taxation of the people with out proper oversight has ruined this once great state although it has become what the hippie population wanted it to become. A communist wasteland.
The City of Atwater just another victim of politicians not caring. Elected Officials not representing the people who gave them the career they dreamed of and now abuse. The city itself has ample room to grow commerce, many people wanting employment and plenty of housing for those who wish to go there. But where is it? Is the city council inviting anyone there? Trying to entice business? It doesn't look like it. Mired in squaller with growing unemployment and no entertainment Atwater has become the beginning of a ghost town.
I don't claim that Atwater was ever a booming metropolis filled with entertainment avenues. It wasn't. But it was alive. Agriculture the primary source of revenue in the area was the key. Still present and probably stable for those who wish to continue in the industry, but what of others. The largest employer in the area could possibly be the SaveMart. What does that promise to the people that live there and try to survive this economic downturn that the President proudly states will probably decline farther before it rises from the ashes into what he wants to make it.
The people of the United States are a very complacent lot. As long as it doesn't affect them no one sees it. Worried about polar bears and starving children in Africa forgetting about the losses and struggling here in their own small towns.
I have been Struggling here in my own small town to build a business. A small business but a specialized business. Something very lucrative should I be able to pull it off. I send out post cards and put out my adds make phone calls. Still nothing. I am grateful for the income we have or I would be in the same place as many others. However this is not moving the way I expected it to when I started in 2008 just before the crash of the economy. Wondering if this is the life my God has placed upon me? I am concerned for my own existence, although I am concerned more for the existence of those I left behind in the town where I became who I am today.
This town taught me the benefit of hard work and showed me how to look outside the kingdom walls for something better. The places that I worked are no longer in business in that town. The buildings empty and in disrepair. The Vineyards replaced by empty housing units. The irrigation canals full with nothing to irrigate. The stores empty and boarded up. Some places still exist and run. But for how long.
Living in San Diego County we feel the same loss of small business. It is not as prevalent however it is ever present and growing. Corporations looking for another place to make their fortunes since the state of California is working hard at putting everyone out of business and the greed of the corporate wolves placing people out of work. Union lobbyists ruining our companies and building an empire through the government. This is a shame.
If it truly is the way of the world. We are in big trouble. I don't want anyone to pay my way I want to make my own way. And I will. But I wish most of all is that, the people of America find what is in themselves that made this the richest and strongest country in the world. What made us who we were and put us at the top of the heap? How did we get here and where do we want to be? Is the direction the government is taking us where we want to be? We need to care about our environment that is true, no one wants to live in a smoke cloud, but there are many other things that need attention. We need to fix the economy and pick the people up before we begin trying to fix other things. Our military constantly works at picking up the people of other nations while our government allows our own to fall. Maybe it's time we came home and picked up our own, and those who don't like it can go somewhere else. If you want your country to be like Europe, Africa ,Middle east, Amsterdam? Well, here's a thought, Get your passport, pack your bags and go, leave the best country in the world to those who want it and you go to your dream place. This is not Europe, this is not Russia and it's not the middle east this is America, THE Greatest Country on the planet and it is reserved for those who love life and wish to preserve what our forefathers fought for; life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. This is not a place of Divine right to rule it is the country of freedom.
Good luck to the people of Merced County, and all of the residents of small towns throughout the United States, in peril; with strength, god and patience we will prevail.

Not good enough

I would like to leave a disclaimer here since I know people like to read blogs and occasionally reference them. This blog was created so I can vent my views. While they can be humorous at times they are my views and not always referenced facts. I am not a historian, I am not a Doctor of anything, I'm just pissed off. However, this is how I see it.
In 1775 the continental Army went to war with the British in an attempt to break away from the parliamentary hold the british had over the colonists in America. This was over taxation of the colonists without representation (so I've been told). Today as we get set to celebrate our independence from tyranny we find ourselves in a similar place. However this is a situation of our own making. Through the apathy of the american voters we have put in place a goverment of the people that is not for the people. We have allowed the American goverment to treat its citizens as peasants. We are told we don't know what's best for us, we can't think for ourselves.. But who is doing the thinking? It is obvious it is not the triad of the government is not. This is what seems to be taking place; Our representatives are representing lobbyists, corporations and special interests. We have in place a group of greedy elitists that are out to destroy what has been built for us. If you notice the word citizens is not included in this list. The reason? I can only speculate there is no money in representing the people. Representing regular people does not bring $$$.... I can say I have regularly sent messages to my elected officials. I seem to get no responses with the exception of party form letters which to me means noone reads them and noone responds. I am sure if I put a credit card number on them I would probably get a response but I don't want my identity stolen by a congressman.
We have now allowed the US government to take hostage the people of the United States. Only 61.7% of eligible voters took place in the elections of 2008. What happened to the other 38.3%? There are Millions of American Soldiers, Sailors Marines and Airmen that have given their lives for the right of the 360 million+ american citizens and countless legal and illegal aliens to live and pursue happiness in the United States. These men and women died so millions of people around the world can live free from persecution. But what happened to us? Our forefathers stood their ground in the 1700's and said we're not going to take it anymore. And fought for what they believed were rights bestowed upon them by their creator.
So this is the change the people wanted? A president who is still campaigning? A government who doesn't listen to its people? A country on the fast track to becoming a fallen superpower? Well if it is. Good for you. It is not what I want. It's not what many want. But since we have no voice it's what we get. Like the Stones say you can't always get what you want. And like most mothers say you get what you deserve.
Now lets say what I'm for. I am for the goverment staying out of private business. I'm for the government keeping their spending to a minimum since they generate no revenue. I am for people paying their own way. I'm for people speaking the american language, ENGLISH. I'm for the goverment doing what they are supposed to do, keeping the american people safe by providing a military, enforcing the borders and protecting those who cannot protect themselves and protecting american commerce. I'm for being allowed to live my life the way I want to. I'm for being free to worship how I want to. I'm for free speech. I'm for the Declaration of Independance, I'm for the constitution and I'm for people living free in the greatest country on the face of the earth. And I'm for kicking out all of the members of government at the end of their term. Everyone currently in government needs to go home. They have been there too long. When I don't remember the name of the last senator it's too long.
So in parting if you think you have something to celebrate tomorrow, think again. What we had is long gone and that is nothing to celebrate. Maybe, it's time to mourn for the millions of americans that have gone to their graves fighting for this country only to have been spit on by the very government that was put in place to protect them and sent them to their death. The part of my life I had given to this country instead of myself has been wasted so I have one thing left to say to those who have wasted it. FUCK YOU

Here I go again....

It's been quite some time since I have posted on my blog... I've been busy mostly. trying to start a business here in the state of confusion (Kaliforniya) Money out nothing in but still hoping for it to take off. With all that's going on in the economy I wonder could I get myself a bailout? Can I ever get a government contract. If it is the way of the present state of the government like the "man" says white boy need not apply. Why is this? What have I, a 42 y/o white male with no sphere of influence on anyone in this country, done to deserve this kind of treatment. I woke up on october 21 1967 in some hospital without a thought in my head, lived my life the best I know how, served the country that I love dearly and now, I don't deserve to exist?
I have never in my life disrespected anyone who has been a stand up person. I don't judge people based on their appearance. God knows I have no right to do that based on my own appearance. But I digress.
It seems to me that since the inauguration of the "Savior of humanity" it has become common place and acceptable to blame all of civilizations failure to assimilate on the white guy.... None of us who have done any more than try to live the american dream. We are the cause of the minority population of the jails, we are the reason for the gang violence and now we are the reason Michael Jackson died... Wow from my modest home in Ca. I single handedly oppressed the minorities of the United States and now that we have placed a "Half" Black man in office, I am required to acknowledge I am the destroyer of a race of people and I never left my house.
Our government is ruining our nation and all anyone is concerned about is how to save the planet while ensuring their pockets are fully lined by taking from the people that put them there. That is a pretty large assumption on my part but from where I am sitting it seems that way. Especially since I had to pay a tax to the state of california just so I can be a business entity no wonder companies are leaving Ca. If I could afford to I would follow.
I spend a few days each month emailing my government officials with my opinions concerned they will send the Black SUV to my door to take me to a reeducation camp, but so far I still live outside the walls. Allowed to move around where I can afford to go.
It may seem that I am bitter and so I am. I pay my bills, I abide by the laws and I go about my business without hurting anyone and still I struggle to survive. Noone offers to give me a home while I struggle, noone offers me a drink when I'm thirsty and noone offers me the cheese when I'm hungry but still I move forward with the hope that I will prevail. There are many people like me in this country, all races and all sizes however, we have no voice. We have no money thus no representation. There is no money in helping us the working class people who sit quietly while America Screws us tells us they know what's best. Well only mom know what's best and the government is not mom... It's uncle.
